Discover New Life in Norfolk's Medieval Churches

Did you know that Norfolk has 659 medieval churches within its boundaries — the largest concentration in the world?

Over 150 of these unique and beautiful churches can be found in the Norfolk Broads and Rivers area. Some of these have been designated as Gateway Churches and they provide ideal starting points for people seeking to understand and discover more about our Medieval and Christian heritage. They also act as useful information centres, helping visitors to find out more about the local area and what’s happening in the local community.

Find out how visitors, pilgrims and local people can enjoy and help to promote the fabulous churches located in the Broads and Rivers Area
